PURE INCENSE: A VOICE CONSECRATED TO GOD

🔥 PURE INCENSE: A VOICE CONSECRATED TO GOD

“My name will be great among the nations, from where the sun rises to where it sets. In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to me, because my name will be great among the nations,” says the Lord Almighty."
Malachi 1:11 (NIV).

I was inspired to write this message after hearing James Aladrin of Prayer Storm preach about the quality of our incense in prayer before God.

God is speaking a powerful message through Malachi 1. He confronted Israel because they were bringing Him polluted and inferior offerings. They were treating Him with dishonour and disrespect, even though He is their King and Lord.

“A son honours his father, and a slave his master. If I am a father, where is the honour due me? If I am a master, where is the respect due me?”
Malachi 1:6 (NIV)

This is not only a message for Israel—it is also a warning to the Church today.

The Lord impressed this thought upon my heart: some of our incense has become contaminated with the religious yeast of the Pharisees and the prideful political spirit of Herod.

🔥 Don’t let your incense become contaminated by a political spirit.

🔥 Don't be colonised by the political and religious spirit (religious and political systems). Be colonised by the Holy Spirit.

🔥 Don't bow to the enemy, speak truth.

🔥 Don't worship idols. Worship God.

🔥 God is calling us back to honour.

It was such a timely word for the Body of Christ at the Battle for Britain Prayer Conference in Manchester this weekend.

God is calling us to examine the quality of what we are bringing before Him. Are our prayers pure incense, flowing from surrendered hearts, or have our motives become mixed with pride, political agendas, people-pleasing or the desire for human applause?

🔥 Don’t let your incense become contaminated.

Jesus warned His disciples to beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and of Herod.

“Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.”
Mark 8:15 (NIV)

We must guard our hearts so that political agendas, the desire to please people, or the pursuit of human applause do not contaminate our worship, prayers or prophetic voice.

The enemy wants to neutralise your potency, dilute your authority and silence your prophetic voice.

It is time for a fresh consecration to the Lord!

God is purifying your voice so that your prayers can carry authority. He is cleansing the spring so that what flows from you is pure. Your prayers will not be motivated by the applause of people or the approval of men, but by a heart completely surrendered to God.

A political spirit is a people-pleaser. It seeks the applause of men to build the ego, while God is calling us to die to self and live for Him.

God doesn’t want cheap offerings in prayer. He wants YOU—all of you, surrendered.

God is calling His people into a fresh consecration in this crucial hour.

He is purifying our hearts, our motives, our prayers and our prophetic voices. He wants our prayers to rise before Him as pure incense—filled with faith, humility, love and complete surrender.

🔥 Ask Him to fill you afresh with the fire of the Holy Spirit—the same Holy Spirit who filled the apostles at Pentecost.

“I am Yours forever, my Father, Lord and King.”

Lord Jesus purify my heart.
Purify my motives.
Purify my prayers.
Purify my voice.

Let my worship be pure incense and pleasing before You.

You are our King.
You deserve our very best.

🔥 I need Your holy fire.
I need Your presence.
I need You.
Roar! 🦁🔥

🔥 Fresh fire. Fresh consecration. Pure incense.

Rise up mighty prayer warrior!

Sharon
