APOSTATE KINGS

Apostate Kings

Changing the Christian constitution and heritage of this country is an act of apostasy. Almighty God will not tolerate rebellion against His truth forever. I am praying for a divine royal U-turn. Otherwise, the monarchy risks becoming irrelevant and no longer providing the stability it has traditionally offered to this nation.

Britain's Christian foundations should not be abandoned. Many believe that the nation's history and identity have been profoundly shaped by the Christian faith and by generations of faithful believers. I do not believe the late Queen Elizabeth II would have agreed with King Charles on this matter. At his Coronation, the King made a solemn oath before God to uphold the Protestant faith, and many are concerned that this commitment is being undermined. Likewise, politicians who fail to keep their election promises damage public trust.

The Bible says:

"There is one body and one Spirit... one Lord, one faith, one baptism." (Ephesians 4:4–5)

Scripture gives many examples of apostate kings. King Ahab is one of the clearest. He provoked God to anger by turning away from Him, marrying Jezebel, and leading Israel into idolatry and the worship of false gods. In the end, both Ahab and Jezebel faced God's judgment.

Nations are blessed when they honour God, but history and Scripture repeatedly show the consequences of abandoning Him.
