Left-Wing “Woke” Protest March in London

I’ve been watching the far-left protest in London today where the Green Party leader (Zack Polanski) was speaking. There was a lot of criticism of Nigel Farage and Tommy Robinson, with speakers calling them “far right.” It’s clear how divided politics has become in the UK right now.

What stood out to me was that I didn’t see many if any Union Jacks being flown. For me, being patriotic shouldn’t automatically mean being labelled racist or extreme. Loving your country and wanting strong borders doesn’t make someone a bad person.

There was also a lot of discussion about refugees being welcome. I believe the UK should always show compassion, but also have strong safeguards and proper vetting to protect the public. We should be able to have honest conversations about immigration without being insulted or shut down.

I’m concerned about how quickly people with different political views are dismissed or labelled. We need more open debate and less name-calling on all sides.

I may even come to London on May 16 to peacefully show my own views and wave a Union Jack. Democracy means everyone has a right to express their views peacefully, whether left or right.

The UK needs more honest conversation, respect, and common sense — not more division. We may not all agree politically, but surely we can agree that freedom of speech, national identity, and mutual respect still matter.
