Superior Discernment
With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge and superior discernment shall the righteous be delivered. (Proverbs 11:9, AMPC)
I love what this verse says about “superior discernment.” To overcome the wicked, we do not rely on human reasoning or emotional reactions, but on the knowledge and superior discernment that comes from God. This is heaven’s insight—clear, sharp, and authoritative. Such discernment exposes deception, silences the mouth of the wicked, and delivers the righteous from their grip. It is not merely seeing what is happening, but understanding why it is happening and responding in alignment with God’s truth and wisdom.
