Don't Chase Wealth

LISTEN ALL YOU WHO LIVE IN THE WORLD

5. Why should I fear when evil days come,

    when wicked deceivers surround me—

6 those who trust in their wealth

and boast of their great riches? (Psalm 49:5-6)

Put your trust in God, not riches.  Money does not make you happy.  It makes those who have worldly wealth more miserable.  What matters is where your soul goes after it leaves this life that you belong to God.  Those who are God's are happy just having him.  Pray that you go to be with the Lord in the mansion in heaven, he has prepared for you, or into utter darkness with the devil.  Hell, in other words.  Do not chase after worldly wealth; chase after God to whom everything belongs.  Earthly wealth is usually given to evil men living in contempt of God and not blessed as worldly people think.   They might even appear to be favoured or blessed by God, but they are not; they are under the curse of God.  They are often in complete rebellion against God. Only God can give true happiness.  He is our provider, Jehovah Jireh.  His kingdom is not of this world.  Neither am I.  My trust is in God.  The love of money and worldly wealth is the root of many evils in this world.  Gambling and the gaming industry, for example, are leading many to hell.  It is part of the great whore of Babylon in the book of Revelation:

A mysterious name was written on her forehead: “Babylon the Great, Mother of All Prostitutes and Obscenities in the World." (Revelation 17:5, NLT).

Do you want to be a whore with SATAN?  BE IN BED WITH THE DEVIL? Or be the bride of Christ?  Come out of Babylon. The way of life is narrow.  Jesus says only a few find it.  Those who ignore God and chase after money will not find eternal life. Follow Jesus and his way.  Do not sell your soul to the devil for worldly wealth. Do not trust in people and their riches either, because they do not have the power to save you; only God has.  Destruction of your soul is the work of the antichrist.  Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.  Selah.  Pause and think about that.
